GREENWICH NATURAL HEALTH CENTRE

COVID-19 (Updated 5th January 2021)

We remain open for acupuncture, counselling, homeopathy & osteopathy appointments.

As we provide healthcare services we are allowed to continue seeing patients by following Government guidelines for hygiene and safe working procedures.

If you live in a London Tier 4 area, you are still allowed to travel for medical/healthcare appointments.

Before you visit the Centre

Please answer Yes or No to the following questions:

1) Have you suffered from a high temperature or a new cough in the last 7 days?

2) Have you been in contact with anyone who has displayed symptoms in the last 14 days?

3) Have you been advised to shield?

4) Are you classed as 'clinically-vulnerable'

If the answer to any of the above is Yes, you must speak to your practitioner before booking or attending an appointment.

On arrival at the Centre

  • Please arrive as near to your appointment time as possible.
  • You must wear a face mask before entering the building.
  • Please wait at the top of the stairs where your practitioner will meet you.
  • Do not bring anything with you that you won't need – just yourself and a payment card.
  • Coats, wallets, handbags, shopping bags etc are potential surfaces to spread the virus, and are hard/impossible to decontaminate.
  • You can scan the NHS Track and Trace QR code to your phone if you have the required app.
  • You will be asked to sanitise your hands before seeing your practitioner, sanitiser gel is by the entrance to reception.
  • Your temperature will be taken with a forehead infra-red thermometer. If it shows red you will be sent home. This does not diagnose Covid-19 but does suggest that you are unwell and this should be investigated further.
  • We will not be offering drinks; you should bring your own with you.

After visiting the Centre

If you display any symptoms of Covid-19 post therapy you will need to inform your practitioner.

About us

The Greenwich Natural Health Centre was established in 1994 by a group of independent practitioners committed to the principles and provision of professional complementary health care.

We aim to provide real health care choice in a friendly and supportive environment and our therapists are trained to provide you with the best possible care and advice.

Hygiene protocols

  • Rooms are sanitised and aired between each patient.
  • Common touch points will be repeatedly wiped down each day.
  • The toilet is closed to the public.
  • Fabric couch covers will not be used on the treatment tables; disposable paper couch rolls will be used and changed between each patient.
  • Pillows are hospital standard and wipeable; they are sanitised between each patient.
  • Osteopathic treatments are 40 minutes with a 20 minute clean down after each patient.

Our practitioners

  • Are fully trained and qualified in their particular therapy.
  • Understand the bounds of their competence, how to work safely, and when to refer to other health care professionals.
  • Have full personal professional liability insurance.

Reception area and access

We have a comfortable reception area and a stairlift is available for those who require assistance.

Please note: We regret children under 10 years of age cannot be left unattended in the reception area unless accompanied by another adult.

If this is not practicable your child can accompany you into your treatment room.
