About Rebecca

Since training as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Centre in north London, Rebecca has worked with children, young people and their families for over 30 years in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in the London Boroughs of Redbridge, Hackney, Camden and Greenwich as well as seeing families in private practice.

Rebecca has also worked in schools and colleges with individual students or offering consultation and supervision to professionals working with children and young people.

Using a psychodynamic approach Rebecca provides support to young people and their families in a safe, reliable and comfortable environment in which to discuss or explore their difficulties.

Rebecca has experience of working with:

Babies - settling, sleeping, feeding, crying

Toddlers - sleeping, eating, separating, tantrums

Starting school - managing separation, sibling relationships, school phobia, friendships and bullying, nightmares and disturbed nights, behavioural challenges

Family changes - adoption, separation, divorce, bereavement

Adolescence - self-image, exam anxieties, depression, self-esteem, social communication
